This easy to grow long flowering annual has deep maroon purple pin cushion like flowers during summer.

They are an excellent border plant that will attract a range of wildlife in to the garden.

The seed can be sown thinly directly outside from late March onwards into finely raked moist soil where they are to grow covering lightly with soil.

When the seedlings emerge thin to about 8cm apart allowing the young plants to develop.
