This eye catching annual also known as black eyed Susan is a long flowering border favourite that has bright yellow flowers with downward facing petals that surround prominent central cone.

Grow in drifts for a great effect they also make a nice cut flower.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Can be grown as a half hardy annual or hardy perennial.

Sow between March - May on a warm window sill, cool greenhouse or cold frame into trays of moist compost cover with 5cm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 5cm pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their final flowering position.
