Rosemary Officinalis Herb Seeds. - Irish Plants Direct
 
An evergreen shrub with dark green aromatic needle like leaves and tiny blue flowers in summer. Grow in pots on a sunny patio if space is limited and pick leaves as required for cooking and teas.

Germination 14 to 21 days.
Soil and Position Loam chalk or sandy soil that is acidic alkaline or neutral in full sun.
Harvest May to November.
Companion plants Cabbage Beans Carrot and Sage.
 
Sowing instructions
 
Sow thinly between February and May indoors in seed trays 0.5 cm deep. Water and place in a warm position about 15 to 20 degrees and keep moist for best results.
 
Grow and maintenance
 
Keep plants in well drained compost or soil in a sunny spot. Grow in pots on a patio for easy access to fresh leaves. Rosemary is drought tolerant once established and benefits from good airflow to reduce disease risk.
 
Uses and benefits
 
A good source of vitamins A C and B6. Use leaves in stuffings with lamb beef chicken or vegetables and make fragrant herbal tea. Attractive to pollinators when in flower and useful as an ornamental in herb gardens.
