  • Description

A vibrant early season primrose blend with bright, cheerful colours that bring bold spring impact to borders, containers and woodland style plantings.

Primrose Mixed is a lively selection of traditional primroses in rich, glowing shades. Each plant produces clusters of bright, eye catching blooms that sit neatly above fresh green foliage, creating a colourful spring display that stands out even on dull days. The flowers have a clean, vivid finish that brings instant cheer to the garden from late winter onwards.

This classic English primrose mix is bred for strong, compact growth and reliable early flowering. Plants form neat rosettes that carry generous numbers of blooms, creating a carpet of colour that attracts early pollinators. Their bold tones and tidy habit make them perfect for borders, containers, pathways and woodland style plantings.

Thriving in partial shade and moist, free draining soil, this mix performs beautifully in cool spring conditions. It naturalises well under shrubs, along shaded edges and in spring containers, returning each year with dependable colour. The blooms last well through the season, offering a long display when little else is flowering.

Hardy and easy to grow, these primroses provide vibrant colour from late winter into spring. Their bright palette and traditional charm make them a favourite for gardeners who enjoy strong, cheerful spring flowers.

Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds on the surface of moist, free draining compost and press gently into place without covering, as primula seeds need light to germinate. Keep cool and evenly moist until seedlings appear. Transplant young plants into individual pots when large enough to handle. Grow on in cooler conditions and plant out in autumn for flowering the following spring.

Grow and Maintenance
Water regularly during dry spells and mulch lightly to retain moisture. Remove faded blooms to keep plants tidy and encourage fresh flowers. Provide partial shade for the best colour and growth. Plants are hardy and long?lived, often naturalising gently over time. Protect young seedlings from slugs and snails.
