Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors:

For an early start, sow in seed trays from late winter to early spring. Scatter seeds thinly on the surface of fine compost, pressing down lightly but not covering them, as light helps with germination. Keep at 15–18°C and ensure the soil remains moist. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost.

 

Outdoors:

Direct sow in a well prepared, sunny location in early spring or autumn for naturalised blooms the following year. Lightly scatter the seeds and gently rake them into the soil. Water sparingly to avoid disturbing the seeds. Once seedlings emerge, thin them to allow adequate airflow and space for healthy growth.
