Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of finely prepared soil and lightly press in. Do not cover as light aids germination. Keep moist until seedlings establish. Thin to 20 to 30 cm apart. Poppies dislike transplanting so direct sowing is recommended for best results.

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water during dry spells and remove faded blooms to prolong flowering. Allow some seed heads to ripen if self seeding is desired. Ideal for borders, wildlife gardens and naturalistic plantings. Seed pods can be harvested for dried arrangements.
