Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of finely prepared soil and lightly rake in. Keep moist until seedlings establish. Thin to 20 to 25 cm apart. For earlier flowers, sow indoors in trays and transplant once large enough to handle. Cornflowers prefer full sun and poorer soils for best flowering.

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water during dry spells and remove faded blooms to prolong flowering. Support may be needed in exposed sites. Ideal for cottage gardens, wildflower meadows and cutting patches. Allow some flowers to set seed for natural self sowing.
