Poppy Himalayan Blue Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This eye catching vivid blue cup shaped flower stands on slender stems above hairy dark green foliage.

They are lovely cottage garden or woodland plant and make an excellent addition to the garden.

Sow May - August

Germination time slow to germinate

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic or neutral

Ideal for beds, borders, cottage, woodland garden or shady border

Sow between May - August in to moist compost and place on a warm window sill or propagator giving warmth for 2 - 4 weeks.

Then place the tray in a cool place such as a fridge for 4 - 6 weeks.

Followed by room temperature.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 9cm pots to grow on.

Plant out September to October in their final flowering position.

The young plants may need winter protection.
