Pansy Spanish Eyes Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

These popular low growing plants have large violet and white flowers with a tiny yellow eye that bloom over attractive dark green.

They are excellent long lasting colour for mixed beds or container displays plant on their own or with contrasting colours for eye catching displays.

Can be grown as a short lived perennial or biennial.

Sow February - April or July - August

Loam, clay or sand soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 20 days

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between February - March on a sunny window sill or propagator into a seed tray of moist compost, cover the seed 6mm deep with sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants when all risk of frosts have passed and plant out 25cm apart.

Alternatively sow in a cold frame July - August to plant out in autumn to flower the following spring.
