Pansy Frou Frou Mixed Seeds

Low growing summer flowering plants with scented, large ruffled blooms in a multitude of clear colours. Perfect for mixed bedding and container displays, and can be grown as a perennial or biennial for extended seasonal interest.

Sow February to April or May to August; start indoors on a sunny windowsill or in a propagator and transplant when large enough to handle.

Germination 10 to 20 days in warm, steady conditions.

Soil and Position Suits loam, clay, or sand and tolerates acidic, alkaline, or neutral soils. Plant in sun or partial shade.

Height Approx 20 cm.

Flowering May to October with regular deadheading to prolong the display.

 

Sowing instructions

 

Depth and cover: Sow into moist compost and cover seeds about 6 mm deep with sieved compost.

Growing on: Keep at 15 to 20 C on a warm windowsill or in a propagator; transplant to trays 5 cm apart when large enough to handle.

 

Grow and maintenance

 

Planting: Harden off and plant out into well prepared soil in sun or partial shade.

Care: Keep evenly moist while establishing and deadhead regularly to extend flowering and keep plants compact.
