Oregano Greek Herb ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This vigerous perennial culinary herb has aromatic bright green slightly hairy leaves with a strong aroma and spicy flavour.

Its ideal for adding to a wide range of Mediterranean dishes.

Grow in the vegetable garden or in pots and containers on a sunny patio.

It has an abundance of white flowers during summer and could be used as an ornamental plant in the garden.

Loam, sandy or chalk soil thats acidic, alkaline or neutral

Harvest the leaves when required

Use in Italian dishes, lamb and tomato dishes.

Sow the seed thinly March - August into pots of well drained compost and cover lightly, leave on a sunny window sill to use in the kitchen year round.

Alternatively sow outdoors in a sunny sheltered spot into fertile soil between May - August.
