This pretty hardy perennial bears delicate violet blue flowers with deeply cut dark green foliage and reddish stems.

Cut back after flowering.

Sow between February - June on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost covering lightly with sieved compost the temperature needs to be between 15° - 20°.

If a propagator isn't used place the seed tray in a plastic bag to keep moist.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into small pots or trays.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
