Lupin Minarette Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

These compact and bushy upright perennials have pretty flower spikes in a range of pastel colours from early summer plant in groups for eye catching displays.

Seed Qty 1.5gram

Sow February - June

Germination time 7 - 14 days

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic or neutral

Height 50cm

Plant in Sun or Partial shade

Flowers May- July the following year

Ideal for beds, borders, cottage, coast, cut

Dead head to encourage a second flush of flowers and cut back after flowering

Also known as Lupinus

CAUTION: Toxic if eaten

Sow February - June into small pots of moist compost and place on a warm window sill or propagator.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 9cm pots to grow on.

Plant out when they are around 30cm tall where they are to flower the following year.

Alternatively sow in a seed bed between May and June transplanting the small plants to their final flowering position in autumn.
