Sowing Instructions

Do not cover the seeds, as they require light to germinate. Keep the soil consistently moist until germination, which should take about 10-14 days. Thin seedlings to around 30-40 cm apart to allow for proper growth and flowering.

 

For an earlier start, sow indoors from February to April. Lightly press seeds onto the surface of moist compost and keep at a temperature of 15-18°C. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them outdoors after the last frost, spacing them 30-40 cm apart.
