Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds directly outdoors in well prepared soil from early spring to late summer. Sow seeds 1 cm deep in rows spaced 30 cm apart. Keep soil consistently moist to encourage strong growth.

 

Thin seedlings to 25 cm apart once they have developed their first true leaves. Kohlrabi grows quickly and is best harvested when bulbs reach around 7 cm in diameter for the best flavour and texture.

 

For a continuous harvest, sow in succession every few weeks. Protect young plants from slugs and snails, and water regularly to prevent cracking or bitterness.
