This very attractive swiss chard has bright pink narrow stems with smooth dark green leaves with a mild earthy flavour.

 

Harvest the leaves young for salads or leave to mature and steam the leaves and stems.

 

It has a long cropping season making it a popular choice.

Sow outdoors between April and August into prepared seed bed 1.5cm deep sowing thinly in rows 40cm apart cover lightly and water. When the plants are large enough thin to 20cm apart to grow on keep the crop well watered to prevent bolting.
