Description

Heliotrope Marine Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This eye catching half hardy annual has beautiful clusters of vanilla scented purple flowers that bloom during summer over pointed green foliage.

They are ideal for growing in pots and containers or could be used to great effect towards the front of a sunny mixed borders providing excellent colourful displays.

Extremely attractive to Bee's and butterflies.

All soil types that are acidic, alkaline or neutral

Deadhead to prolong

Sow between February - April in a propagator or on a warm window sill onto sieved moist compost and press the seed down gently.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays spacing the plants 5cm apart or small pots to grow on.

Harden off the young plants before planting out when all risk of frost has passed.
