Ageratum Blue Mink Seed

A compact half hardy annual with soft, powder-blue flowers held in dense, fuzzy clusters. Its neat, mounding habit and very free flowering nature make it a reliable choice for long-lasting summer colour.

Flowering June to October; deadhead to prolong flowering.

 

Sowing instructions

 

Sow between February and May onto sieved, moist compost and press the seed down gently. Do not cover, as light aids germination. Keep warm and evenly moist. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into trays spacing plants 5 cm apart to grow on. Harden off and plant out after the last frost.

 

Grow and maintenance

 

Plant in full sun or dappled shade in free draining soil. Water regularly while establishing, then moderately. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Trim back lightly after the first flush to promote further blooms.
