These are easy to grow large fruits that are perfect for little gardeners, carve the heads at Halloween and eat the flesh in pies.

Sow from April onwards into pots 1.5 cm deep place the seed on its side and cover leave on a sunny window sill or propagator keeping moist remove the cover when the leaves appear. When the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom the plants to the outdoors and plant out leaving 120cm between plants when the chance of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outside in June 120cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weakest seedling when they emerge.
