French Bean Saxa (Phaseolus vulgaris) is an early and reliable dwarf variety producing smooth, tender and completely stringless pods with a mild, sweet flavour. Sowing Instructions

Outdoors: Sow directly from late May to June once the soil has warmed. Sow seeds 5 cm deep in rows spaced 45 cm apart. Thin or plant to 20 cm apart once seedlings establish. Keep soil moist during dry spells to support flowering and pod formation.

Indoors: Sow from April in small pots or modules, 5 cm deep. Harden off and plant out after the last frost into warm, prepared soil.

Regular picking encourages continuous production. Pods are best harvested young and tender for optimum flavour and texture.
