Foxglove Foxy Mix Seed

A compact and early flowering foxglove mix with elegant spires of bell shaped blooms in soft pastel shades including white, cream, pink, and rose.

 

Each flower features a speckled throat and velvety texture, blooming reliably in its first year from an early sowing. ‘Foxy Mix’ forms neat rosettes and upright stems, making it ideal for borders, containers, and cottage-style planting.

 

This shade tolerant biennial thrives in partial sun and well drained soil and is perfect for low maintenance gardens, pollinator habitats, and naturalistic schemes.

 

It attracts bees and bumblebees and self seeds gently for future displays.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist compost and press lightly without covering, as light aids germination. Keep at 18 to 21°C until seedlings appear. Transplant when large enough to handle and space 30 to 40 cm apart. For first-year flowering, sow early indoors and transplant after hardening off.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water during dry spells and avoid overfeeding. Deadhead to prolong flowering or allow to self-seed for informal planting. Suitable for borders, containers, and wildlife gardens. Cut back after flowering or leave seed heads for architectural interest. Caution: all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
