Evening Primrose White Seeds

A graceful perennial producing soft white cup shaped blooms that open in warm daylight bringing a luminous glow and gentle meadow charm to borders cottage gardens and wildlife friendly plantings.

 

Evening Primrose White forms neat spreading clumps of fresh green foliage topped with silky white flowers from early summer onwards. Each bloom opens pure white with a pale centre creating a bright moonlit effect in sunlight. Plants are long flowering drought tolerant once established and highly attractive to bees moths and other pollinators. This species is ideal for naturalistic borders gravel gardens and relaxed informal planting styles where soft colour and movement are desired.

 

It thrives in full sun and free draining soil and copes well with heat and poorer ground. Once settled it spreads steadily to form a flowering carpet and is especially effective at the front of borders or weaving through other perennials.
