Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and press lightly without covering, as light aids germination. Keep at 18 to 22°C until seedlings appear. Transplant into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 20 to 30 cm apart. Polygala prefers undisturbed roots and spreads slowly over time.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water during dry spells until established, then reduce watering. Avoid overfeeding. Deadhead to prolong flowering or allow to self-seed for naturalistic displays. Suitable for borders, wildflower gardens, and alpine settings. Cut back lightly in spring to encourage fresh growth.
