Evening Primrose Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular summer flowering plant has large bright yellow bowl shaped flowers that stand on strong stems above rosettes of long mid green leaves during summer.

The flowers open in the evening attracting moths and other flying pollinating incects.

A low maintenance biennial that provides long lasting colour in a sunny border or gravel garden.

Cut back after flowering

Sow between February - June or September- October on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant 5cm apart into trays or individual pots to grow on.

Direct sow into a sunny border when the soil has warmed up.
