Echinacea Alba Seeds - Irish Plants

This clump forming hardy perennial has white downward facing petals that surround a prominent central greeny yellow cental cone.

Excellent for growing towards the back of a mixed border they look very effective grown in drifts.

Attracts a host wildlife into the garden.

Sow February - April

Germination time 14 - 28 days.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Plant in sun or partial shade

Flowers June - September the following year

Ideal for beds, borders, cottage, wildflower, cut flower

Cut to round level after flowering

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays or small pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
