Dill Lena Herb Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This dwarf annual herb has dark green ferny foliage with a very fragrant flavour.

It is possible to grow year round in pots and containers with protection.

Sow Year round or March - June outside

Germination 14 - 21 days

Loam, sandy or chalk soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Height 25cm

Harvest leaves when required

Companion plants Corn, Lettuce, Onion or Cucumber

Pick the leaves when required and harvest the seed heads when they are brown

A good source of vitamin A,C and B6

Use with fish and chicken dishes

Sow the seed thinly outside into finely racked well watered soil 1.5cm deep out doors in a sunny sheltered spot between March - June thin the plants out to 20cm apart to grow on.

Alternatively the seed can be sown indoors year round for planting into pots indoors or on a sunny patio.
