Applemint Herb Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This aromatic apple scented bushy perennial herb has bright green pointed leaves with pale purple flowers during summer.

Grow in pots, window boxes or the herb garden for a long season of harvest.

Mint does have a tendency to spread so container growing may be advisable.

☀️ Sow March - May

☀️ Germination 14 - 21 days

☀️ Loam or sandy soil thats neutral

☀️ Harvest April - November

☀️ Companion Plants Beets, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Squash

☀️ Do not plant with Parsley or Chamomile

☀️ Pick the leaves as required

☀️ A good source of vitamin C and B6

☀️ Use in sauces, teas, cocktails, meat and seafood dishes.

Sow thinly March to April indoors in seed trays 0.5cm deep water and place in a warm position 15 - 20 degrees and keep moist.

Transplant into small pots when they are large enough to handle, grow on in cooler conditions gradually accustom the plants to outside conditions.

Sow thinly between April - May outside where they are to grow 1.5cm deep into finely raked well drained soil that has already been watered.

Thin the seedling to 30cm apart and keep well watered until the plants are established.
