Dahlia Showpiece Mixed Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This mix of tall elegant looking double and semi double flowers in a range of colours are excellent plants for providing good summer colour in beds, borders and container displays.

A half hardy perennial that is usually grown as an annual.

Germination takes 21 - 28 days

Loam, sand or clay soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Height 90 - 120cm

Dead head to prolong flowering

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator by thinly sowing the seed on top of moist compost.

Cover with cling film until the seedlings emerge keep the compost moist.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant 5cm apart into trays or small pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off before planting out after all risk of frost has passed 45cm apart.
