Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds outdoors from March to May in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Scatter the seeds thinly on the surface, pressing them gently into the soil, and cover lightly. Water gently and keep the soil moist until germination. Thin seedlings to 20-30 cm apart as they grow to allow for optimal spacing.

 

For an earlier display, sow seeds indoors from February to April in seed trays filled with fine compost. Press seeds lightly into the surface and keep at a temperature of 18-21°C. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.

 

Water regularly and deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Cornflower Blue Ball thrives with minimal care, making it ideal for beginner and experienced gardeners alike.
