Sowing Instructions

 

For earlier blooms, sow seeds indoors in trays or pots from February to April. Scatter seeds thinly on the surface of fine compost and cover lightly with soil. Keep at a temperature of 15–18°C and maintain moisture until germination. Once seedlings develop true leaves, transplant them into individual pots and harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost.

 

Direct sow in April to May in well-prepared soil, lightly raking in the seeds. Water gently and keep soil moist until germination. Thin seedlings to 15–20 cm apart for healthy growth. Alternatively, sow in September for an early display the following year.
