Common Tobacco Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This large fast growing annual has well branched stems with dark green leaves upto 50cm long with pink funnel shaped flowers during Summer.

The plant is originally from South America where the yellow leaves were harvested in autumn for Tobacco production.

Loam, chalk or clay soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination takes 7 - 14 days

Also known as Tobacco Plant

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed
