Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly cover with fine soil or vermiculite. Maintain warmth at 18 to 22°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination usually occurs within 1 to 2 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 30 to 40 cm apart. For direct sowing wait until soil is warm and frost risk has passed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells until established then reduce watering. Convolvulus prefers dry conditions and full sun. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Suitable for borders containers and gravel gardens. Avoid overfeeding as rich soils can reduce flowering.
