Cima Di Rapa ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular Italian vegetable has aromatic edible leaves, stems and buds reminiscent of broccoli.

Easy to grow harvest when young and tender.

Sow June - August

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam or clay soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest August - October

Companion Plants Peas, Brassica's, Tomatoes or celery

Do not plant with Potatoes, Radish or any other root vegetable.

Pick the young heads when they are young the leaves can also be used.

Use lightly steamed, stir fry, salad, pasta dishes

Broccoletto needs a sunny spot and well drained fertile soil that has been well dug in autumn that is not acidic so liming may be necessary.

Sow the seed between June - August thinly 1.25cm deep leaving 30cm between rows thin the plants to between 15cm - 20cm to grow on.
