Choy Sum Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular chinese leafy vegetable is a flowering pak choi with tasty leaves, shoots and flower buds.

Pick as baby leaf before they flowers.

Sow little and often for continuous crops.

Loam or sandy soil thats alkaline or neutral

Harvest July - November

Companion plants Cauliflower, Onions, Potato, Lettuce and Nasturtiums

Harvest by cutting at the base or picking baby leaves

Use in stir-fry, salads and oriental dishes

Brassica's require alkaline soil so liming my be necessary.

Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed Between May - September in row 40cm apart and 1.5 cm deep Cover lightly and keep moist.

When the seedlings appear thin to 20cm apart to grow on. Sow every 2 - 3 weeks for a continuous crop.
