Celosia Plumosa Mixed Seed

A bold and fiery mix of plume shaped celosias in vivid shades of red, orange, yellow, and pink. Celosia Plumosa Mixed produces upright feathery flower spikes above lush green foliage, adding dramatic colour and texture to borders containers and summer bedding.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly cover with vermiculite or fine soil. Maintain warmth at 20 to 25°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination usually occurs within 1 to 2 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 20 to 30 cm apart. For direct sowing wait until soil is warm and frost risk has passed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and feed monthly with a high potash fertiliser. Remove spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Celosia prefers warm conditions and good air circulation. Protect from cold and excessive moisture. Suitable for borders containers and summer bedding.
