Celosia Xantippe Seed

Sowing Instructions

 

Start seeds indoors from February to April for early blooms. Sow thinly in seed trays filled with fine compost, covering lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep at a warm temperature of 18–22°C and ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and gradually acclimatise them before planting outdoors after the last frost.

 

Outdoors: Direct sow from late April in well-prepared, sunny locations. Lightly press seeds into the soil, keeping the area moist until germination occurs. Thin seedlings to 20–25 cm apart to encourage strong, bushy growth.
