Cedar North African Atlas Tree Seeds – Irish Plants Direct

A majestic evergreen conifer, Cedrus atlantica (Atlas Cedar) is native to the mountains of North Africa and prized for its striking blue green needles, strong architectural form and impressive longevity.

This slow growing species develops a broad pyramidal shape when young, maturing into a wide spreading tree with tiered branches that create a dramatic silhouette.
Atlas Cedar thrives in full sun and well drained soils, showing excellent drought tolerance once established. Its distinctive foliage and rugged bark provide year round interest, while its stately presence makes it ideal for large gardens, parkland settings and feature planting.

When grown from seed, each tree develops its own unique character and branching pattern.

A superb choice for gardeners seeking a long lived, sculptural and highly resilient evergreen.

Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle and grow on in a bright sheltered position.
