Caucasian Scabious Blue Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

A graceful perennial with pincushion like blooms in soft lavender-blue, ‘Caucasian Scabious – Blue’ adds elegance and movement to borders, meadows, and cutting gardens.

The flowers are borne on slender stems above a mound of finely divided foliage, attracting bees, butterflies, and hoverflies throughout the summer. Each bloom features a central tuft surrounded by frilly petals, creating a delicate, airy effect that complements both formal and naturalistic planting styles.

This long flowering species is hardy, drought-tolerant, and easy to grow.

It thrives in full sun and well drained soil, producing a succession of blooms from early summer into autumn. Ideal for pollinator friendly schemes, cottage gardens, and floral arrangements, it combines beauty with ecological value.
