Nasturtium Scarlet Gleam Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

These long flowering annuals have bright scarlet red semi double flowers that bloom above dark green foliage during summer.

They are excellent long lasting colour perfect creeping along the ground or to train against fence, wall or trellis.

Sow March - May

Germination time 7-10 days

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Flowering time June - September

Plant in sun

Planting ideas pots, containers, beds borders, edible, cottage, low maintenance, hanging baskets

Deadhead to prolong flowering.

Sow from march into individual pots 3 or 4 seeds per pot on a sunny window sill when the seedlings are large enough to handle pot into 7.5cm pots to grow on.

Plant out when all risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow the seed direct into baskets and containers from late April where they are to grow.
