Nasturtium Empress Of India Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This compact hardy annual is a non trailing variety with a profusion of crimson red flowers that bloom profusely above dark green foliage during summer.

They are excellent long lasting colour perfect for borders or containers.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil thats acidic, alkaline or neutral

Planting ideas Hanging baskets, pots, containers, beds borders, edible, cottage, low maintenance

Deadhead to prolong flowering.

Sow from march into individual pots 3 or 4 seeds per pot on a sunny window sill when the seedlings are large enough to handle pot into 7.5cm pots to grow on.

Plant out when all risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow the seed direct into baskets and containers from late April where they are to grow.
