This variety has large conical shaped intensely orange roots with an excellent sweet flavour and a crunchy texture. 

 

This delicious carrot stores well after lifting for winter use. 

An excellent winter carrot.

 

Pellet seed is easy to see making sowing easier each pellet equals one seed.

The pellet contains nutrients to enable the seed to grow into strong plants.

They require no pricking out or thinning keep the soil moist.

Pull up the small carrots from June onwards. They can remain in the ground over a long period of time.

Carrots need a firm fertile soil that has not been manured in the last year. Dig in autumn then apply a general fertiliser two weeks before sowing. Keep well watered during dry weather to prevent them going woody.

Sow between mid-March - June in open ground the seed is extremely small but try to sow as thinly as possible in drills 1cm deep and in rows 15cm apart when the seedlings appear thin to around 10cm apart.
