Candytuft Purple Rain Seeds – Irish Plants Direct

Candytuft Purple Rain (Iberis umbellata) is a vibrant annual variety producing clusters of soft lilac, violet, and deep purple blooms on bushy, branching plants.

Bred for mass colour and pollinator appeal, it’s ideal for borders, containers, and wildflower-style plantings bringing a gentle haze of colour to sunny garden spaces.

Thriving in well-drained soil, Purple Rain flourishes in full sun and blooms from early summer to autumn.

Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and butterflies, while the compact habit makes it perfect for edging paths or filling gaps in mixed displays.

Growing On:
Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Suitable for informal borders, pollinator gardens, and low-maintenance schemes. Allow some plants to self-seed for naturalising.
