This china aster has very attractive large blue purple double peony like flowers that stand on sturdy stems during summer.

These are an eye catching border plants that make an excellent cut flower for around the home.

Sow March - May in a propagator or on a warm window sill between 18 - 21 degrees onto moist compost cover the seed with 5mm of sieved compost.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays 5cm apart or individual pots to grow on.

Harden off the plants before planting out after the risk of frost has passed planting out.

Sow direct outdoors from April - May into warm moist finely raked soil thin the seedlings to 40cm apart.
