Aster Michaelmas Daisy Mixed (Aster novi-belgii) is a hardy perennial renowned for its cheerful, daisy like blooms in shades of pink, purple, lavender, and white.

 

Flowering in late summer and autumn, this vibrant mix brings a welcome burst of colour when many other plants are fading perfect for borders, wildlife gardens, and pollinator friendly spaces.

 

 

Thriving in well drained, moderately fertile soil, Michaelmas Daisies flourish in full sun to partial shade and are especially valuable for extending the flowering season.

Sowing Instructions

Indoors:

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of fine seed compost from February to April. Lightly press seeds but do not cover, as light aids germination. Maintain a temperature of 18–20°C and keep the soil moist. Once seedlings are strong enough, prick out into individual pots and grow on until ready to plant outdoors.

 

 

Outdoors:

After the last frost, transplant seedlings into a sunny or lightly shaded location with well-drained soil, spacing 40–60 cm apart. Mulch lightly and water during dry spells to encourage strong flowering.

 

 

Aster Michaelmas Daisy Mixed brings late-season colour and pollinator appeal to gardens. A reliable favourite for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flower arrangements.
