Aster Bouquet Powder Puff Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tall china aster is a decorative showy annual with large double flowers in a mix of colours including rose, purple, white and pink with a contrasting creamy yellow centre.

They stand on sturdy stems blooming throughout summer providing long lasting displays.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow March - May in a propagator or on a warm window sill at 18-21 degrees onto moist compost cover the seed with 5mm of sieved compost.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays or individual pots to grow on.

Harden off the plants before planting out after the risk of frost has passed planting 30cm apart.

Sow direct outdoors from April - May into warm moist finely raked soil thin the seedlings to 30cm apart.
