Asclepias Incarnata Seed

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds thinly in trays of moist, free draining compost or directly outdoors in prepared soil. Lightly cover with fine soil and maintain temperatures at 18 to 22°C. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 4 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 40 to 60 cm apart. Harden off indoor seedlings and plant out after last frost.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly to maintain moist soil, especially during dry spells. Feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser to encourage strong growth. Cut back stems in autumn after flowering. Swamp Milkweed thrives in sunny, damp positions and is highly attractive to pollinators, requiring little maintenance once established.
