Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist, free draining compost or directly outdoors in prepared soil. Lightly cover with fine soil and maintain temperatures at 15 to 20°C. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 3 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 20 to 30 cm apart. Harden off indoor seedlings and plant out after last frost

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water sparingly, as Sandwort prefers drier conditions. Feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser to encourage healthy growth. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain compact habit. Sandwort thrives in sunny, exposed positions and poor soils, requiring little maintenance once established
