Yucca Filamentosa Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This evergreen shrub has sword shaped dark green leaves and bears a large white flower spike that is covered with small Bell shaped flowers during summer.

An great architectural plant for borders or large containers.

Sow March - May

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 4 - 6 weeks

Height 100 - 150cm

Flowers July - August 3 years after sowing

Ideal in beds, borders, gravel, low maintenance, pots

Also known as Adams needle, needle palm

Sow onto a seed tray of moist compost covering lightly with compost and place on a sunny window sill or in a propagator between March - May.

The temperature needs to be 25° to germinate.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot on in to individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting them out.
