Germination 7 to 14 days at 18–22°C

Soil & Position Fertile, well drained soil enriched with organic matter; prefers full sun

Harvesting July to September, picking fruits when husks split and turn papery

 

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist fine compost in trays or pots. Lightly cover with compost or vermiculite. Maintain warmth until seedlings emerge. Transplant when large enough to handle into individual pots and grow on before planting outdoors after frost. Space plants 60cm apart in prepared beds, borders, or containers.
