Xotica Collection Radish Chinese Red Impression F1 Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This chinese radish has white to light green outer skin with a pink juicy centre with a peppery taste and crunchy texture.

A large radish for mixed salads.

Loam or clay soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest June - October

Companion Plants Beetroot, Beans, Carrots, Cucumber, Lettuce and Nasturtiums

Do not plant with Brassicas and Turnip

Pull the radish while young when they are 7cm - 9cm in size.

A good source of vitamin C

Use in salads, roasted or stir fries

Radish are almost trouble free and very easy to grow they are quick to germinate and crop.

They will need a reasonable fertile soil raking in a fertiliser before sowing.

Sowing every three to four weeks will ensure a steady crop all summer.

Sow from late March in open ground until July the seed should be sown thinly to allow the radish to grow little or no thinning is required. Keep well watered during dry spells.

Can be sown in February under glass.
